I was born in Bozeman, Montana where I live with my wife Stephanie and three children.
I love creating original music, and writing about and discussing important ideas. The music genre I write most of my songs in is rock/pop, but I’ve also written worship songs and lead worship leaders for almost two decades.
I currently own a digital advertising company called Penguin Network and specialize in digital information systems, digital content development and advertising. Our company locates digital systems in retail and church environments and provide original local content of all types.
I care deeply about people and love helping them think and consider issues that effect them every day. My wife and I have had the privilege of working with our college ministry for around twenty years. In addition to training worship leaders, we enjoyed counseling student planning to get married, and worked through any of the many issues that they faced as young adults with them.
I love playing basketball, and doing crossfit and talking about theology, philosophy, psychiatry, politics or whatever else happens to come up.
Politics is a regular topic of conversation I find myself in, but I hold little hope for the process of politics itself as I believe we humans enter the planet with a very flawed nature. Politics is interesting to me inasmuch as I see God’s plan revealed in it. My enjoyment of writing about political topics is stimulating only as a way to get at deeper issues of humanity and the struggles we have as humans which I find remedied only by a new nature as created in Jesus Christ.
On the other hand, I have a great interest in matters of the church (followers of Jesus Christ). I am greatly optimistic that since Jesus Christ is who He said He is, that His incredible plans are being fulfilled through those who know Him. He changed me, and I have seen him change many others. He is indeed our great hope and effects everything including our relationships, our work, our government and our world.
